XS is D'Addario's longest-lasting acoustic string. An ultra-thin coating on the wound strings and a treated plain steel keep them sounding fresh far longer than uncoated sets, with a smooth feel that doesn't dull your tone.

The 11-52 Custom Light gauge has lighter top and bottom strings than a standard Light set, so it's easier to play while keeping good volume and projection. Phosphor bronze wrap wire gives the warm, balanced tone D'Addario made the acoustic standard when it introduced the alloy in 1974.
