XS is D'Addario's longest-lasting acoustic string. An ultra-thin coating on the wound strings and a treated plain steel keep them sounding fresh far longer than uncoated sets, with a smooth feel that doesn't dull your tone.
12-53 Light is the most popular acoustic gauge, with a good balance of playability and full tone. Phosphor bronze wrap wire gives the warm, balanced tone D'Addario made the acoustic standard when it introduced the alloy in 1974.
