Can I learn bass without knowing guitar?

Yes. Bass is a great first instrument, and you don't need to play guitar first.

Do I need my own bass and amp?

You'll need a bass to practice at home. A small practice amp or a headphone amp is all you need to start. Shop bass guitars or amps, and our staff can help you put together a starter setup.
