About the Roland GR-55

The GR-55 turns a guitar fitted with a Roland GK divided pickup into a synthesizer. It combines two PCM synth engines with a COSM guitar-modeling tone and your guitar's own pickups, so you can layer up to four sounds at once: pads under a clean guitar, an organ doubled with a modeled 12-string, or a bass line from your low strings. It also has amp models, effects, a looper and a built-in expression pedal. Bass mode turns it into a bass synth.
