About the Kala Hawaiian Koa California U-Bass
The California U-Bass is the top of Kala's U-Bass line: a compact, ukulele-sized solid-body bass that delivers a deep, upright-like low end in an instrument small enough to carry anywhere. This Hawaiian Koa 4-string fretted model (UB4-KOA-FS) pairs a figured koa top with a swamp ash body and a maple neck and fingerboard, finished in a UV-cured satin. Because every koa top is cut individually, each California U-Bass has its own grain pattern. It sells for about $1,499 new.
